QUESTIONS FREQUENTLY ASKED BY PATIENTS/CUSTOMERS:
Why did my doctor send my prescription to QSP?
Many providers prefer to use QSP over other pharmacies because they know that we stock the majority of common and specialty medications currently prescribed. We also go beyond the scope of other retail pharmacies by helping patients with rebates and payment assistance programs.
How is QSP different from other retail pharmacies?
QSP is unique because we offer free local delivery and try to offer the lowest out-of-pocket costs. We understand the cost barriers associated with healthcare and insurance, and we will try to help every patient no matter what their situation or ailment may be.
What is the standard turnaround time for a new prescription order?
While there is no set standard and each order varies depending on a patient’s insurance and medication needs, we typically contact a patient within 24-48 hours of receiving a new order. We’ll verify all of the patient’s information, and then call the patient back to notify them of the copay amount. Walk-in and drive-through patients can usually pick-up their order the very same day.
Can QSP process rebates or copay cards that other pharmacies will not?
Yes, we will apply discounts for every eligible order. Rebate programs vary from one drug company to another, so it’s important to read the fine print. You may be required to have some form of insurance for a rebate program to be applied, even if your insurance company rejects the claim. Ask us if you have any questions about your particular prescription, or whether it may fall under a rebate program.
What if my insurance does not cover my medication, and the cost is too high?
If your copay is too high, and we think your doctor may recommend a suitable, lower-cost alternative, then we will contact your physician for a substitution to help lower your overall costs.
How can I benefit from using QSP?
We put the health of our customers above all else. We can help people live healthier lives when they switch all of their medication orders over to us. In this way, our pharmacists are better able to review everything the patient has been prescribed, to help our customers understand any possible drug interactions and side effects, and to avoid duplicity. If you are unsure about your medications effectiveness, call your pharmacist.
What happens if I run out of medication, and I need a fast refill?
No problem is too big for us to handle. Our customers receive a courtesy call reminder when a refill order is due. If you fail to order your refill in time, we will rush the order to you. Your health is our number one priority.
